Access Advance has acquired Via LA’s HEVC/VVC program. The new program will be called Video Codec Licensing Advance (“VCL Advance”) Patent Pool.

Standardized video technologies like HEVC and VVC are essential for global interoperability, and patent pools are the most effective way to license them. Aggregating these programs under Access Advance responds directly to years of market feedback calling for a unified approach.
