Job Title: Licensing Specialist
Core Overall Job Description:
Reporting to the Senior VP of Licensing and Market Intelligence, the Licensing Specialist is an integral part of the Access Advance team. This position will support a wide range of licensing activities, including market research, identification of new licensing opportunities, preparing letters and other written communication to potential licensees, and following up on outstanding opportunities. This person will coordinate with other Licensing team members and Legal team members to ensure that proper and timely actions are taken on licensing opportunities that have been identified.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Market Intelligence team and Licensing team to identify and qualify new licensing opportunities, i.e., potential licensees, and ensure that proper records are captured and archived in the process. Support the Licensing team in drafting letters and other written communication to potential licensees, including when such letters are being written and sent by outside legal counsel.
- Support the Licensing team in periodical review of the licensing pipeline, recommend appropriate actions for outstanding opportunities, and be responsible for implementing recommended actions that are approved. Participate in discussion on licensing strategy and implementation of licensing strategy. Assist in preparation of annual licensing business plans and periodical update presentations.
- Manage the database and tracking tools being used by the Market Intelligence team and Licensing team.
- Support the Market Intelligence team and the Licensee Operations team in conducting market research to identify potential irregularity in royalty reporting and assist in royalty audits.
- Assist with the maintenance of accurate licensing distribution lists (email, address, phone, etc.).
- Support operations functions, including office administration as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and related software products
- Willingness to learn to use and manage software products if there is no prior experience
- Demonstrated attention to detail, particularly in preparing, managing, and organizing large sets of information and documents
- Must be willing to work out of an office in Boston. (Note: The opportunity for remote work for a portion of the work week is available.)
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
